StampFest Summer 2017 Class Guide
Bring a Basic Class Kit consisting of: Scissors, bone folder, adhesive, permanent black ink pad, craft knife with fresh blades, cutting mat, pencil with eraser, ruler, and a few favorite ink pads and any other special tools that you use frequently and would feel “lost” without.
NOTE: Some classes may request you bring some additional supplies. Please read each class description carefully!

Class Event Paper Crafting: Book Box - 5 Hours

In this Summer StampFest
Convention class, you will be creating a Unique One of a Kind Book
Box.
- Create a Book Box that
measures when complete, 9” x 10.25” x 2.5”.
- You will assemble the box, then
decorate it with paint, paper and ephemera.
- This book box will become one
of your favorite things to make and use in your crafting/desk area.
This is a functional piece so when complete, you will be able to store
some of your favorite things in it.
- Please note, you will be
getting an entire paper collection pack so your tower can be
"colored/papered" in any theme in the pack that you
choose!
- This is a project themed
class! Guaranteed to be a favorite!
- Students need to bring: a 12x12 personal trimmer; ruler; ScorTape or Red Line
Tape; roller adhesive; scissors; Basic Class Kit. All other
supplies will be provided

allowing you to work at a relaxed but steady pace
- Creating multiple journals from
envelopes, travel Bingo cards, oversized postcards, Manila folders, game
boards and more.
- Each journal will feature a
different binding with Linda providing most everything you need.
- It's a class with all the tips
and techniques she can squeeze in the allotted time, plus a few surprises,
so join the fun.

Class Event Stamping: Yupo, Alcohol Inks &Rubber Stamps - $40

In
this Summer StampFest Convention class you will learn about the different types
of YUPO paper and how they create different results using Alcohol Inks.
- You will take your beautiful
papers and create dimensional cards.
- I will supply a large variety
of inks and YUPO paper for you to create a number of backgrounds to choose
from.
- The window cards when open are
translucent and give a stunning stained glass effect.
- This is a great intro to
Alcohol Inks and YUPO paper.
Students need to bring: Your favorite coloring tools for the turtle or manatee. I will bring some colored pencils if you do not have anything. The samples were done with colored pencil.
Paper Towels, rubber gloves if you want for using the inks (they do stain hands). If you have an Alcohol Ink Applicator please bring it. (I will have small loaners)
Small scissors, double sided tape, black marker, foam tape or pop dots and Basic Class Kit.
Optional: Fine line glue, large flat brush for Medium, I will supply foam brushes.
NOTE: The focus of this class is on the Alcohol Inks and YUPO paper and how to seal it and not the paper coloring aspect. You should get 1 of each style completed. 3 cards, 1 window, 1 tri-fold and 1colored image. Extra materials will be included for more cards. - 3 Hour Class

In
this Summer StampFest Convention class Linda's back this year with a delightful
little card class featuring great rubber stamp images, watercolors and washi
tape accents.
- Let her teach you a few tricks
using various watercolor mediums like pencils, crayons, palettes and a few
surprises along with water reservoir brushes.
- It's like getting a techniques
class for free!
- Choose your favorite images, play
with color and then start the layering process with colored card
stock.
- But before you mount
everything, she's packing 100 or so rolls of washi tape to add the perfect
accent.
- And now, just when you think
you're finally done, she's got 2 more surprise elements for adding shimmer
and dimension.
- 2 Hour Class
- Students need to bring: Basic Class Kit, a glue stick, tape runner and a pair
of scissors. Everything else is provided for you.

In
this Summer StampFest Convention class Linda's back this year with a card class
she wanted to teach last year before her husband's surprise bypass
surgery.
- These aren't your typical cards
however.
- She chose a class to feature
face rubber stamp images by Invoke Arts, CatsLife Press, Paula Best and
more.
- Layer these images on top of
ATC sized backgrounds made with an array of oversized rubber stamps.
- You're sure to look at all
those large background stamps with a new appreciation now.
- You'll color your images, layer
them onto cards and then the real fun begins.
- You add 3-dimensional elements
like glasses and hats to glamorize each face. So cute, unique and
fun!
- Students need to bring: Basic Class Kit, your scissors, glue stick, tape
runner and fine point markers for coloring.
- Linda used Marvy's LePlume and
LePen markers to make the samples.

Class Event Stamping: Art Journal of Techniques

the years Linda has taught numerous technique classes but this year it's taking
on a new twist at this Summer StampFest Convention class!
- You'll get to play with oodles
of products and techniques but then you'll stamp over them with black ink
and unique rubber stamp images before cutting them out to mount on the
pages of your accordion journal.
